Just looking to enjoy some fresh air & farm work?
We get asked A LOT whether we accept volunteers. So much so that we have developed a way to organize those who want to spend a day (or a half day!) on the farm! It’s invigorating to spend time outside, and a great chance to learn more about growing veggies. The work depends on the season, but can range from moving tarps and prepping beds (lots of hard work) to planting and harvesting. We love to share what we do, how we do it, and are pretty much an open book for information that you need - though we don’t usually stop moving during the conversation!
Things to know:
Work conditions are variable - check the weather and come dressed appropriately, and in clothes and close-toed shoes that can get dirty
If you have gardening gloves, bring them
There’s a very friendly dog on the farm, he may jump and gives kisses
We don’t work outside if it’s storming, or in drenching rain, but there may be indoor work to do so don’t assume your plans are cancelled if there’s weather brewing
Our scheduled volunteer days are every 1st Friday of the month, but if that doesn’t fit with your schedule it’s possible we could find another time
Please sign up by: Filling out the form below and clicking to sign the waiver! We’ll email you to confirm your day and time, and ask that you give as much notice as possible if you can’t make it.
